QuickBooks Enterprise Sales Management/CRM Software Beta To Be Discontinued

I just received word from Intuit that the Sales Management/CRM software beta for QuickBooks Enterprise will be discontinued as of September 17, 2009 (it sure was odd that this package was in beta for nearly a year!):

"We launched the Sales Management ES Beta with the desire to provide Enterprise Solutions customers an easy way to manage their sales leads and opportunities. Based on the feedback from the Beta and other factors, we have decided to stop the project. As a result, this Beta test will not result in a product release and we will discontinue the Sales Management ES Beta on September 17, 2009.

The feedback we have received during the Beta was constructive, direct, and highly valuable as we consider our next steps in the realm of customer and sales management. Thank you. We seek to minimize any disruption this decision may cause your business by providing 45+ days until the beta stops and easy ways to export your data.

The data you have entered into Sales Management ES Beta is 100% yours - and we will provide two easy ways to get your data out of Sales Management ES into a neutral format."

So what do you do now?

I recommend that you take a look at the Results CRM product. You'll find that it it is a very robust CRM package that has a very tight integration with QuickBooks Enterprise (and other versions of QuickBooks too. The Results team will be happy to provide you with a demo of Results CRM software - just let them know you're interested.

There are other CRM products that integrate with QuickBooks available for review in the Intuit Marketplace as well.
